Located along the Western Border of Plymouth County in Massachusetts, Rochester is a small residential town boasting nature and wildlife.
With scenic cranberry bogs and bodies of water including the Snipatuit Pond, Rochester is a historical New England Town.
We are a quiet residential town bordered by Lakeville and Middleborough to the north, Wareham and Marion to the east, Mattapoisett to the south, and Acushnet and Freetown to the west.
Our ponds provide great fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and wonderful scenery.
Old Rochester Regional School District prides itself on its strong school system and provides schooling for Rochester and some of our neighboring towns including schools such as Old Hammond town Elementary, Old Rochester Regional Junior High School, and Old Rochester Regional High School. We offer great academic opportunities for students in the area as well as a wide range of athletics to choose from.
In addition, high school students have the option of going to Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School which is located in North Rochester, or Tabor Academy, a private school known for its’ marine science courses, located in neighboring Marion.
Rochester is located off highway 495 with easy access to Providence, Cape Cod, and Boston.
