WELCOME TO WESTPORT, MA

Located in Southeast Massachusetts, right on the Atlantic Ocean, Westport is a town known for its’ beaches, rivers, fishing, and great lobster.

Mostly residential and home to a large farming community, Westport is a serene town with lots to offer.

On our southern border, we are proud hosts of the Horseneck Beach State Reservation, a public recreational area which draws thousands of visitors per year, as well as the small and historical Gooseberry Island. Our free public library hosts many community events, and for the golfers, the private member-owned Acoaxet club is a wonderful choice.

A part of Bristol County, the town of Westport is comprised of five historic villages. “Head of Westport” is found at the head of the east branch of the Westport River, and “Westport Point” is where Main Road meets the river. “North Westport” was knows historically as Westport Factory, and “Central Village” is where you’ll find our town offices, retail stores, and businesses. “Acoaxet” or “Westport Harbor” can be reached by driving through Rhode Island and is located to the east of the river.

We are proud of our own school system which is comprised of three schools for students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

Westport is conveniently located off highway 195 with easy access to Providence, Cape Cod, and Boston.
